Irving ISD is excited to kick off the new year with School Board Appreciation Month. It’s an honor to recognize the seven Board of Trustees for their commitment to serving our students, staff and parents. Their leadership has taken Irving ISD to the next level. From a “B” rating and 52 academic distinctions awarded by the state of Texas to our PreK expansion and salary increases, they have led the way and provided the support needed to make these gains.

Superintendent Magda Hernandez is incredibly grateful for the Board of Trustees and their service to the district. “Our trustees are the backbone of the district,” she says. “Their leadership continues to move us in the right direction- ensuring every student dreams big and reaches his/her goals. As the superintendent, I am grateful for the time and energy they give every day to the district. They are willing to do whatever it takes to make Irving ISD the best district in the nation.”

The Board of Trustees are:

  • President A.D. Jenkins, District 5
  • Vice President Nell Anne Hunt, District 2
  • Secretary Randy Randle, District 7
  • Pam Campbell, District 3
  • Tony Grimes, District 6
  • Nuzhat Hye, District 4
  • Dr. Rosemary Robbins, District 1

We will recognize each Board of Trustee throughout January with a story highlighting their leadership and service to the district. Stories will be featured on The Insider
