Committed to employee wellness and well-being, Irving ISD hosted the first Wellness Fair on January 24 at the Administration Building. More than 20 vendors attended the “Wellness Bowl” to provide healthy lifestyle information, emotional and mental health information, healthy food demonstrations, medical information, physical wellness demonstrations and more.
Attendees had the opportunity to taste healthy food samples provided by culinary students from Nimitz High School and Singley Academy, as well as Chick-fil-A’s healthy food options. The Crockett Dance Club and Austin KickStart also joined with demonstrations of a variety of exercises.
Attendees were also welcome to participate in demonstrations with instructors from Jazzercise and Camp Gladiator.
Employees learned about employee resources and received tips for work-life balance. What a way to kick-off the new year!
