The application opens this Thursday for the district’s three Schools of Choice – Singley Academy, Singley Collegiate Academy and South Irving Collegiate Academy.

Singley Academy
The best decision for career success begins at Singley Academy. Cook up success in Culinary Arts and Hospitality or explore careers in Health Sciences. Students can also engineer a future in Innovative Technology, discover a calling in Law and Public Service or design a dream life in Studio Art. Through their journey at Singley Academy, students can earn industry-recognized certifications, gain real-world experience through internships, hone their employability skills and participate in student clubs/organization at Singley and UIL activities at their zoned high school. The application is open to incoming freshmen and sophomores (current eighth graders and freshmen).
Singley Collegiate Academy
The first step to your future begins with you and Singley Collegiate Academy. Open to incoming freshmen only, students can save up to $50,000 in college tuition while earning an Associate of Arts or an Associate of Science. The collegiate academy experience also includes community service projects and attending classes on a real college campus, Dallas College North Lake campus.
Information sessions for Singley Academy and Singley Collegiate Academy will be held at Singley Academy Auditorium (4601 N. MacArthur Blvd., Irving, TX 75038) from 6 to 8 PM on Tuesday, November 16, and Tuesday, November 30. A virtual Q&A will be held on Tuesday, December 7, from 6 to 7:30 PM. South Irving Collegiate Academy
South Irving Collegiate Academy, the district’s third and newest school of choice, will welcome its inaugural class in August 2022. Open to incoming freshmen only, the academy gives students the opportunity to save up to $50,000 in college tuition while earning an Associate of Art in Teaching or an Associate of Science. Students will also gain experience with internships and attend classes on a real college campus – Dallas College Irving Center.
Information sessions for South Irving Collegiate Academy will be held at Dallas College Irving Center (1081 W. Shady Grove Road, Irving, TX 75060), from 6 to 8 PM on Thursday, November 18, Thursday, December 2, and Thursday, December 9. A virtual information session will be held Tuesday, December 14, from 6 to 8 PM.
Set your calendars for this Thursday, November 11, and apply to an Irving ISD School of Choice by January 11 at IrvingISD.net/Apply. Hurry! Spots are limited.
