The City of Irving’s Disability Awareness poster contest is an annual tradition for Irving ISD fourth graders. The contest encourages students to artistically express how persons with disabilities can use their strengths and abilities to be part of the community. The city hosted the artists at the October 3 city council meeting, where they were recognized by Mayor Rick Stopfer. Winning posters will be displayed at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in celebration of October’s Disability Awareness Month.
