For the second year, Irving ISD’s STEM & Innovation and Career & Technical Education Departments partnered with Verizon, Holt Caterpillar and Arizona State University to host the Ignite STEM Competition on February 27, at the beautiful Verizon corporate headquarters in Las Colinas.

Students enrolled in the STEM Innovation course at each Irving ISD middle school had the opportunity to design solutions to five different engineering and STEM challenges. The top two student groups from each category were selected to present at the February 27 competition, where entries were judged by industry professionals.
