Aniciah Vasquez, a seventh grader from Crockett Middle School, is this week’s Season of Giving spotlight. Aniciah came up with the idea to host “Cougar Book Chats” to champion literacy at her school. When asked about the goal for her book chats, Aniciah said, “I hope people will see my book talks and say, ‘Hey, I’d like to read that book.’ A video can inspire them to pick up a book and maybe even just read the back of it.”
So far, Aniciah has produced and hosted five Cougar Book Chats that are posted to Crockett Middle School library’s Twitter page each month. Follow her journey as she interviews the staff at Crockett Middle School.
