Drill teams are known for their trademark half-time performances. But their commitment spans beyond the 10 regular season football games.
“We have early morning practices, we have responsibilities throughout the whole year,” says Ximena Ibarra, captain of the Toy Tigers drill team from Irving High School.
That begins with official team practices that begin even before the start of the school year.
“It’s better to start early and start getting to know the responsibilities and the priorities of this team,” says Ximena.
