After a strong showing at district competition earlier this week, Irving ISD will be represented by 12 scholar-athletes and three alternates at the regional wrestling tournament this Friday and Saturday at Birdville Stadium.
Nimitz High School boys, with six regional qualifiers and an alternate, finished fourth as a team at the district meet. Two Nimitz girls are alternates. Irving High School had five qualifiers while one MacArthur wrestler also advanced.
