Irving ISD will be represented by 8 students at the 2024 DECA National competition in Anaheim, CA. DECA, short for Distributive Education Clubs of America, prepares high school students for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management. Students participated in an evaluation process based on their career cluster at this month’s State competition in Houston. The process involved a written assessment and an interactive portion judged by industry professionals. Students who won at the state level advanced to nationals.
