The City of Irving Parks Department, Keep Irving Beautiful, and Irving ISD came together to recognize Townsell Elementary for recycling the most material. Mayor Rick Stopfer issued a proclamation, and the Parks Department’s Urban Forestry Team educated students on the value of trees. Students also helped plant a new tree provided by the city. This observance is also part of the City of Irving’s participation in the Tree City U.S.A. program. Learn more in this ICTN segment
