What real-world problem would you solve if given the chance? For Nimitz High School’s Thomas Vo, the answer was easy.
Vo, a senior entrepreneurship student, works in his family’s construction business. One thing he’s noticed is that he can never find construction gloves that will keep his hands warm during the frigid winter months. That’s when he got the idea to create his business – Reheats.
Reheats makes electric heated gloves for construction workers and others working in the cold. What started out as a class passion project took Vo all the way to the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) competition in New York last month, where he placed Top 3 in the nation and earned a $2,500 prize.
