Congratulations to the eight Irving ISD wrestlers who qualified for regionals, after a strong performance at district last week.
Irving ISD will be represented at the regional meet by three wrestlers from Irving High School and five from Nimitz High School.
The regional qualifiers and their placing at district are as follows:
Nimitz Girls:
- Naima Rodriguez, District Champion
- Jenny Mireles, 2nd
Nimitz Boys:
- Miguel Rodriguez, 2nd
- Henry Ventura, 3rd
- Vincent Pena, 4th
Irving Boys:
- Eric Figueroa, 3rd
- Rashan Daniel, 4th
- Dany Urquilla, 4th
Best of luck to these wrestlers, who will be competing at regionals this Friday and Saturday, February 10 and 11, at W.G. Thomas Coliseum in Birdville ISD.
