At the beginning of each fall semester, the Advanced Placement (AP) program recognizes high school students across the country who demonstrated outstanding college-level achievement through their performance on multiple AP exams the prior school year. Forty Irving ISD scholars were awarded “AP Scholar with Distinction,” which is granted to students who receive an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP exams taken and score 3 or higher on five or more exams.
