Two Irving ISD student-athletes are heading to Lubbock to compete among the best runners in the region. Bethzaira Acosta from Nimitz High School and Gladis Juarez from Irving High School have qualified for the Cross Country Regional Meet, which will take place on Tuesday, October 21, at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock, Texas.
Both athletes earned their spots after earning top finishes at the district race earlier this month. Irving ISD congratulates Acosta and Juarez for this outstanding accomplishment and wishes them the best of luck as they represent their schools and the district at regionals.
