Irving ISD will be represented by four relay teams at the regional swim meet after a great showing at the District 6-6A swim meet, held January 27.

From MacArthur, two girls’ relays and one boys’ relay qualified as follows:

  • Girls’ 200-meter medley relay: Vanessa Romero, Samantha Chavez, Zoe Rocha and Kajsa Lindstrom
  • Girls’ 200-meter medley relay: Vanessa Romero, Zoe Rocha, Sofia Navarro and Samantha Chavez 
  • Boys’ 200-meter medley relay: Andrew Creeger, Bryant Newsome, Nicholas Cancino and Maddox Johnson 

Nimitz swimmers qualified for regionals in the girls’ 400-meter freestyle relay. Members of the qualifying relay are as follows:

  • Gloria Henriquez, Roselyn Guerrero, Gabriela Alvarado and Ryleigh Moyer

All four teams will compete at the regional swim meet on Monday, February 6, at the Lewisville ISD Aquatic Center West.
