A student who thrived at Nimitz High School while coping with the challenges of homelessness is heading to the University of Texas — all thanks to a community fundraising effort. By combining donations with financial aid, organizers say they have almost raised enough to meet her first-year expenses. The Irving Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is continuing to collect donations, and they are sent directly to UT. Learn more in this ICTN segment.
