At the October 12 city council meeting, Mayor Rick Stopfer recognized Irving ISD student artists for participating in the annual City of Irving Disability Awareness poster contest. The contest encourages Irving ISD fourth graders to artistically express how persons with disabilities can use their strengths and abilities to be part of the community.

Winning posters will be displayed at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center to celebrate Disability Awareness Month.
